First IVF (Now Part of Fakih IVF)

If you were treated at First IVF, or saw its name while researching, you may be wondering where it has gone. In short, it has not disappeared. It is now part of the Fakih IVF network, and this page explains what we know.

Overview

First IVF was a fertility clinic brand with clinics in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Its founder and chairman was Dr. Michael Fakih, who also founded Fakih IVF. Both brands belong to his group, Blue Ocean Health.

In February 2025, NMC Healthcare agreed to sell its 65% stake in Fakih IVF to Blue Ocean Health. The deal made Blue Ocean Health the sole owner of Fakih IVF. Since then, the two brands appear to have been combined:

• As of October 2026, the First IVF website (firstivf.ae), including its inner pages, redirects to fakihivf.com.
• Fakih IVF's own website now lists "First IVF Abu Dhabi" as one of its locations. Doctors who used to be listed at First IVF now appear in Fakih IVF's doctor directory.
• Fakih IVF's website does not list a separate First IVF clinic in Dubai.

We could not find an official announcement of the merger. This page is based on the redirect and on what Fakih IVF's own website shows. If you have treatment records or frozen embryos from First IVF, contact Fakih IVF directly. Ask where they are held and who your care team is.

Location and Access

Fakih IVF lists its Dubai clinic on Al Wasl Road, Jumeirah 1. In Abu Dhabi, it lists a clinic on Hazaa Bin Zayed The First Street, opposite Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, and another in Khalifa City. It also lists a location called "First IVF Abu Dhabi". Check with Fakih IVF which site you should attend.

Treatments Offered

Treatments are now listed on Fakih IVF's website. They include IVF/ICSI, IUI, genetic testing of embryos, family balancing, egg freezing and male infertility care. See the Fakih IVF Dubai profile for details.

What Makes This Clinic Different

Success Rates

First IVF has no published success rates of its own. Fakih IVF's success-rates page does not give figures either. Ask the clinic for live birth rates for patients of your age and with your diagnosis. Our guide to IVF success rates explains what to ask.

Cost Indication

As of October 2026, pricing is on request. First IVF used to advertise cash packages for self-paying patients. We could not confirm that these packages still exist under the Fakih IVF brand. For general cost context, see our IVF cost breakdown.

Insurance and Coverage

Check insurance acceptance directly with Fakih IVF. Its website describes arrangements for Thiqa cardholders at its Abu Dhabi clinics.

Accreditations

In December 2025, Khaleej Times reported that First IVF's Dubai and Abu Dhabi clinics had gained JCI (Joint Commission International) accreditation. We have not been able to confirm which Fakih IVF sites hold JCI accreditation today. Ask about the specific site where you will be treated.

Things to Consider

• Continuity of care: If you started treatment at First IVF, ask Fakih IVF who your treating doctor is now. Also ask where your records, eggs, sperm or embryos are stored.
• Which site: Fakih IVF runs several clinics. Check which one you will attend for monitoring, egg collection and embryo transfer.
• Accreditation by site: Accreditation applies to individual facilities. Ask which accreditations cover the clinic you will use.
