There is no single right answer, and nobody can make this choice for you. What we can do is present the facts as clearly as we can, so that you feel informed and confident in whatever direction you take.

Fakih IVF is one of the most well-known fertility names in the UAE. Below, we cover what the clinic offers, what sets it apart, and what you should consider before making your decision.

Overview

Fakih IVF Fertility Center describes itself as the first private IVF centre in Dubai, opened in 2011. Its founder is Dr. Michael Fakih, a reproductive endocrinologist whose IVF career began in 1987. He is the clinic's chairman and medical director.

Ownership has changed over the years. Fakih IVF was for some time part of NMC Health. In February 2025, NMC Healthcare agreed to sell its 65% stake to Blue Ocean Health, Dr. Fakih's own group, making Blue Ocean Health the sole owner. In a March 2026 report, Gulf Today said that more than 35,000 families have welcomed a baby through Fakih IVF. This is the clinic's own figure. We have not seen independent data behind it, and the clinic's home page shows a different counter. Treat headline numbers like this with care.

Location and Access

Fakih IVF's Dubai clinic is on Al Wasl Road, Jumeirah 1 (37, 65b St – 32b St). It is not in Dubai Healthcare City, as some older listings suggest.

If you split your time between emirates, a network like this can make appointments easier to arrange. Ask whether your records and stored samples can move between branches if you need them to.

Treatments Offered

Fakih IVF lists a broad range of fertility treatments:

• IVF (In Vitro Fertilisation) and ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection)
• IUI (Intrauterine Insemination)
• Natural Cycle IVF and Mini IVF
• Family Balancing (gender selection) using Comprehensive Chromosomal Screening (CCS)
• PGD / PGT for hereditary diseases, including HLA matching
• Egg Freezing (Fertility Preservation)
• Male Infertility treatments, including micro-TESE and TESA

What Makes This Clinic Different

The clinic's main differentiator is its in-house genetics laboratory. Many clinics send samples to outside labs. Fakih IVF says it carries out genetic screening of embryos in-house. If you need preimplantation genetic testing, particularly for a hereditary condition, ask how long results take and who interprets them.

Fakih IVF also reports several firsts in the UAE:

• the first EmbryoScope (time-lapse embryo monitoring) in the country
• the first ongoing pregnancy using testing for a single gene disorder combined with HLA matching for a sibling who needed a bone marrow donor

These are the clinic's own claims, but they point to a willingness to adopt new technology early.

The network's size is another factor. A large network handles many cases, which can build deep procedural experience. It may also feel less personal than a smaller clinic.

Success Rates

Fakih IVF does not publish specific success rate figures. Its success-rates page describes its results in general terms only. Older reports quoted a "70% pregnancy rate", but we could not find this figure on the clinic's current website, so we no longer include it.

Cost Indication

Fakih IVF does not publish standard IVF prices. Pricing is on request. The only prices on its website, as of October 2026, are storage renewal packages: AED 2,625 for egg or embryo freezing renewal and AED 2,100 for sperm freezing renewal. Ask what period each renewal covers. Costs depend on your diagnosis, the protocol recommended and any extras such as ICSI, genetic testing or embryo freezing.

Insurance and Coverage

Fakih IVF says coverage of any infertility treatment needs prior approval from your insurer. It also notes that PGD for family balancing is not covered by insurance. Many UAE insurance plans do not include fertility treatment as standard.

Accreditations

• Licensed by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), as all private clinics in Dubai outside the free zones must be
• ISO 9001 quality management certification (shown on the clinic's website)
• JCI: In December 2025, Khaleej Times reported that First IVF's Dubai and Abu Dhabi clinics, now part of the Fakih IVF network, gained JCI accreditation. We could not confirm whether the Al Wasl Road clinic itself is JCI-accredited, so ask the clinic.

Things to Consider

• Network scale: A multi-location network offers flexibility and usually more appointment availability. A large network can also feel less personal than a smaller clinic. Consider whether this matters to you.
• Jumeirah location: Al Wasl Road is central for many Dubai residents. Factor in travel time for the frequent monitoring visits an IVF cycle requires.
• In-house genetics: If PGT or genetic screening is part of your treatment plan, ask how the in-house laboratory works and how long results take.
