Fertility Clinics in Sharjah and the Northern Emirates

IVF, ICSI and egg freezing clinics in Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah, checked against official listings in October 2026. Who licenses them, published prices, accreditations, and whether any Sharjah clinic takes Thiqa.

If you live in Sharjah, Ajman or elsewhere in the Northern Emirates, you may not want to drive to Dubai or Abu Dhabi for every scan during an IVF cycle. Sharjah has several dedicated fertility centres of its own. Below, we list the ones we could confirm from official sources, what each says it offers, and what we could not confirm. We do not rank or endorse any clinic.

At a Glance

This table shows what each clinic lists on its own website. "Not listed" means we could not find it there, not that the clinic definitely does not offer it.

Who Licenses Fertility Clinics in Sharjah and the Northern Emirates?

Outside Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) keeps a public directory of medical facilities. It has a category called "Centers of Medical Assisted Reproduction". When we filtered the directory by that category in October 2026, it returned six centres: five in Sharjah and one in Ras Al Khaimah. All four clinics below are on that list.

Sharjah also has its own regulator, the Sharjah Health Authority (SHA). In July 2025, the Sharjah Executive Council issued a decision on regulating health activities and professions in the emirate. It covers Sharjah government and private health facilities, including those in free zones, and sets out health facility licensing by SHA. It does not apply to federal government facilities in Sharjah.

In practice, clinics show different licences. New Hope IVF displays a MOH licence number on its website. Dr Mazen Dayeh's website says he is licensed with the Sharjah Health Authority. Ask your clinic which authority licenses it and its doctors, and check that the licence is current before you start treatment.

Emirates Health Services (EHS) is the federal body that runs government hospitals and health centres, including Al Qassimi Hospital in Sharjah. It provides care rather than licensing private clinics. In our searches, including Al Qassimi Hospital's EHS page, we did not find IVF listed at an EHS facility.

Wherever you are treated, federal law applies. Federal Law No. 7 of 2019 on medically assisted reproduction, as amended by Federal Decree-Law No. 17 of 2023, sets the rules on who can have IVF, egg freezing and embryo storage. Our guide to the UAE fertility law changes explains what the law allows today.

Best Life Fertility Center (Dr Mazen IVF Centre)

  • Location: Majestic Tower, Al Khan, Corniche Road, Sharjah.

  • Website: bestivf.ae (clinic) and drmazenivf.com (Dr Mazen Dayeh)

  • Website: newhopeivf.com

Also on MOHAP's List

MOHAP's directory also lists Dr Husnia Gargash Fertility, Gynaecology and Obstetric Centre in Sharjah as a centre of medically assisted reproduction. We could not find an official website for this Sharjah centre that confirms its current services, so we have not profiled it. Contact the centre directly if you are interested.

Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah

In October 2026, MOHAP's directory showed one centre of medically assisted reproduction outside Sharjah: FertiClinic in Ras Al Khaimah (see above). It showed none in Ajman, Umm Al Quwain or Fujairah. The directory may not be complete, so ask any hospital near you directly whether it performs IVF itself or refers patients elsewhere.

Some hospitals in these emirates list infertility clinics. However, we could not confirm from their official websites that they offer IVF itself rather than assessment and referral. For now, most patients in Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah are likely to travel to Sharjah, Dubai or Ras Al Khaimah for IVF. Sharjah's clinics are the closest option for many. Ask whether monitoring scans and blood tests can be done nearer home.

Is Any Sharjah Clinic Thiqa-Approved?

We could not confirm that any fertility clinic in Sharjah is in Thiqa's network.

Thiqa is the Abu Dhabi government's health programme for UAE nationals, administered by Daman. Here is what we checked in October 2026:

  • Thiqa's website describes its network as hospitals, health centres, clinics and pharmacies in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
  • Daman's public provider search does not offer a Thiqa network option. Thiqa's website points members to the Thiqa app to find providers.
  • None of the four Sharjah clinics' websites mention Thiqa.

As our insurance guide explains, Thiqa's IVF benefit is set by a Department of Health policy written for licensed fertility centres in Abu Dhabi. If you hold Thiqa and want treatment in Sharjah, check the provider list in the Thiqa app. Then ask the clinic to confirm, in writing, that it can get Thiqa pre-authorisation for IVF. Otherwise, the Abu Dhabi clinics that accept Thiqa are listed in our Abu Dhabi clinic directory. Our insurance coverage guide explains what Thiqa covers.

Costs and Insurance

Only Conceive publishes an IVF price range. For the other clinics, you will need a quote after consultation. When comparing quotes, check whether medication, ICSI, embryo freezing, storage and genetic testing are included. Our IVF cost breakdown explains what to budget for.

Many insurance plans in the UAE do not cover fertility treatment. See our insurance coverage guide for what different plans include.
