In the UAE, Bourn Hall Fertility Clinic is wholly owned by Mediclinic Middle East. Mediclinic bought 30% of the regional business in December 2018 and took full ownership in November 2021. The UAE clinics run separately from the UK clinic, with their own medical teams.

Mediclinic lists Bourn Hall Fertility Clinic Abu Dhabi at Gulf Villa 1&2, Al Bateen (W17 02), Abu Dhabi. It is a standalone clinic, not a unit inside a Mediclinic hospital.

Bourn Hall's own website currently shows opening hours only for its Dubai and Al Ain clinics. Call the clinic to confirm Abu Dhabi opening hours before you visit.

The heritage is the most obvious differentiator. Bourn Hall is one of the best-known names in IVF. The Abu Dhabi clinic is run by Mediclinic, not by the UK clinic, so the clinical team, protocols and outcomes are specific to the UAE.

Accreditation is the second. In October 2025, Khaleej Times reported that the Abu Dhabi clinic had received its first JCI accreditation, alongside Al Ain and a re-accreditation for Dubai. In January 2025, Gulf News reported that Bourn Hall's laboratories in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Al Ain had received CAP (College of American Pathologists) accreditation.

The Mediclinic connection is a practical advantage. As part of a large private hospital group, Bourn Hall can refer patients within the group, for example for maternity care or specialist input.

Success Rates

Bourn Hall does not publish success rate figures for its UAE clinics. Its FAQs note that UAE clinics are not required by law to report success rates to the authorities.

Bourn Hall's website has a section for Daman Thiqa cardholders, alongside general insurance and financing information. For Abu Dhabi residents with Thiqa, this suggests the clinic has arrangements in place. Thiqa fertility coverage still depends on Daman's eligibility rules and pre-authorisation.

Under Daman's current guideline (November 2025), Thiqa covers up to six egg retrievals and three embryo-transfer cycles per patient per year, generally for women aged 18 to 47, with pre-authorisation. • Heritage and independence: The Bourn Hall name carries enormous heritage, but the Abu Dhabi clinic is run by Mediclinic, not the UK clinic. Assess the local team on its own merits.
• Confirm the basics: The clinic's own website gives less detail about Abu Dhabi than about Dubai and Al Ain. Call ahead to confirm hours, services and which doctor you will see.
• Thiqa: If you hold Thiqa, confirm coverage and pre-authorisation steps before you begin.
