Umniya Fertility (formerly HealthPlus IVF)

You may know this clinic by its previous name, HealthPlus IVF. If you have been researching fertility treatment in Abu Dhabi, you have almost certainly come across it. In February 2026, the clinic relaunched as Umniya Fertility, a name drawn from the Arabic word for "wish" and rooted in "Um" (mother) and "niya" (intention). The clinic says its clinical teams have stayed the same.

Choosing where to begin, or continue, your fertility journey is deeply personal. For Abu Dhabi residents in particular, Thiqa acceptance can be a significant factor. Below is what we know about the clinic, presented without endorsement or ranking.

Overview

Umniya Fertility was previously known as HealthPlus IVF. On 2 February 2026, it officially launched under the new name. This followed a transaction in which full ownership passed from M42, an Abu Dhabi healthcare group, to Olive Rock Partners. Cedro Strategy led the transformation and rebrand. The clinic continues to operate from its existing Abu Dhabi facility, and the launch announcement says patient care continued without interruption.

The board is chaired by Rayan Salam. Other board members named at launch were Eman Al Shorafa, Abdullah Shahin, Muhannad Qubbaj and Ahmed Al Mukhalalati.

The Medical Director is Dr. Monika Chawla, in post since June 2024. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (UK) and holds a Master's in Human Embryology from IVI Valencia. She is the author of the textbook "The Art of ART", and in 2018 she received a Distinguished Physician Award.

As of October 2026, Umniya's website reports more than 36,000 cycles and more than 550,000 patients served. These are the clinic's own figures.

Location and Access

Umniya's clinic is at #11th Street, Hazaa bin Zayed Street, Al Karama Area, Abu Dhabi. The same site also offers women's health services, including general obstetrics and gynaecology, maternal-fetal medicine and minimally invasive surgery.

Clinic hours (as listed by the clinic, October 2026): Sunday to Friday, 8:30am to 6pm.

The clinic's website lists only this Abu Dhabi location. We could not confirm the satellite clinics mentioned in older descriptions of HealthPlus.

Treatments Offered

Umniya Fertility lists a broad range of assisted reproductive treatments:

• IVF (In Vitro Fertilisation) and ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection)
• IUI (Intrauterine Insemination)
• IVM (In Vitro Maturation)
• PGT (Preimplantation Genetic Testing) and Gender Selection / Family Balancing
• Fertility Preservation: egg, embryo and medical fertility preservation
• Ovarian Tissue Cryopreservation
• Male Fertility Treatments: varicocelectomy and surgical sperm retrieval
• Psychology and counselling support

Ovarian tissue cryopreservation may suit people who cannot go through ovarian stimulation, or who need to start cancer treatment quickly.

What Makes This Clinic Different

The clinic describes its approach as outcomes-led and whole-person. It says it considers genetic, environmental, social, mental and emotional factors alongside medical treatment. It frames success as the "shortest responsible time to healthy delivery" rather than pregnancy rates alone. That is a sensible way to think about outcomes, so ask how the clinic measures it in practice.

Umniya's laboratory holds both JCI (Joint Commission International) and CAP (College of American Pathologists) certification, according to its website. It also uses RI Witness sample tracking and IMSI (high-magnification sperm selection). The clinic says it is the first in the UAE to offer Future Fertility's AI-based assessment of egg quality. That is the clinic's own claim, and the technology is still new, so ask how it would affect your treatment decisions.

This combination is a good quality signal, but it is not unique in the UAE. Bourn Hall and Orchid Fertility, for example, also report holding both JCI and CAP accreditation.

Success Rates

Umniya Fertility does not publish success rate figures on its website. Ask the clinic for live birth rates for patients in your age group and with your diagnosis. Given its focus on "healthy delivery", it should be able to give you delivery-based figures.

Cost Indication

As of October 2026, Umniya Fertility does not publish standard IVF prices on its website, so pricing is on request. Its website has packages and financing pages. Insurance and Thiqa Coverage

Umniya's insurance page lists Thiqa and Daman – High End Network for Abu Dhabi. It notes that your insurer's approval is required before any infertility treatment is covered.

Under Daman's current guideline (November 2025), Thiqa covers up to six egg retrievals and three embryo-transfer cycles per patient per year, generally for women aged 18 to 47, with pre-authorisation. If you hold Thiqa, confirm your eligibility and pre-authorisation steps directly with the clinic and Daman before starting treatment. Together, these cover both the laboratory (CAP) and the wider facility's patient safety and quality systems (JCI).

Things to Consider

• Recent rebrand: The change from HealthPlus IVF to Umniya Fertility happened in February 2026, and ownership changed at the same time. Many patients will still search for "HealthPlus IVF". The clinic says the same clinical teams continue, but ask who your treating doctor will be.
• Single published location: The website lists one Abu Dhabi clinic. If you need appointments elsewhere, ask what options exist.
• New technology: AI-based egg assessment is new. Ask your doctor how it would change your treatment plan, if at all.
